Karen Gary is owner and proprietor of Karen Gary Salon Systems, Inc/Synergi Salon. KGS (Karen Gary Salon) is committed to helping women maximize their time by providing hair care and styling services in a timely manner. Karen has been a hairstylist for 20 years and specializes in color, cuts, and natural hair care. Karen is an experienced salon owner who trained and mentored more than 100 stylists at her former salon, Uzuri Street. Uzuri Street became a nationally recognized salon for its commitment to customer service and the promotion of healthy hair. KGS is continuing what was started by Uzuri Street. However, KGS implements more modern techniques and technology to help ensure that clients get the most out of their visit.

Karen believes that healthy hair is built from the inside out and starts with a natural foundation. She is in the process of developing a product that supports having healthy and natural hair. Karen believes that hair is an extension of a woman's total being. She will use natural elements from the earth that support the body's overall well being. Karen's long term goal is to create a salon where black women will feel special and give them the tools to maintain healthy and beautiful hair.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys working out and spending time with her son Josiah.
