???? Spring Reset: How I’m Nourishing My Body, Spirit, and Crown This Season
Spring has always been one of my favorite times of the year. There’s just something about the way the air feels different, the days stretch out a little longer, and everything around me starts blooming again. Every year, it reminds me that I get to bloom too.
But here’s the truth: I don’t always feel “spring fresh.” By the time April hits, I can feel the heaviness of winter in my body, my spirit, and even in my hair. And that’s why I lean into this season as a chance to reset.
⸻
???? Resetting My Body
Over the winter, I tend to eat heavier — more comfort foods, less fresh produce. When spring rolls around, my body almost asks me to lighten things up.
For me, that looks like:
• Eating more seasonal foods like strawberries, asparagus, and leafy greens.
• Drinking more water (because hydration is always the first step in any reset).
• Keeping meals simple — lean proteins, colorful veggies, and healthy fats.
I’ve learned that my body doesn’t need complicated diets. It needs consistency and balance. And spring gives me the push to realign.

✝️ Resetting My Spirit
This season also nudges me spiritually. One of the things I’ve started doing is prayer walks. I’ll take my dog and just walk my neighborhood, but instead of letting my mind wander, I use the time to talk to God.
I pray over my family, my business, and sometimes I just thank Him for the fresh air and the beauty around me. That time outside clears my head in a way that sitting still doesn’t.
My spring scripture this year has been:
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19).
It feels like a reminder that renewal isn’t just happening outside — it’s happening inside me too.
⸻
???? Resetting My Crown
And of course, you know I can’t forget the hair! After winter, my crown is usually ready for some love. Dry air, protective styles, and neglect from being too busy always leave my hair craving a reset.
This spring, I’m focusing on:
• Trimming ends that need to go.
• Bringing moisture back with deep conditioning.
• Choosing lighter styles that let my scalp breathe.
For me, resetting my hair is more than vanity — it’s symbolic. Just like I cut away split ends, I also cut away old habits and thought patterns that no longer serve me.

???? My Reset Invitation to You
This spring, I’m reminding myself that I don’t just need to clean my house — I need to reset me. My body with fresh food and water, my spirit with prayer and scripture, and my crown with intentional care.
Sis, if you’re feeling that heaviness too, maybe it’s your time to reset. Not in a way that overwhelms you, but in simple steps that help you breathe again. Because just like nature is blooming, so are we.
✨ Let’s give ourselves permission to bloom this season.
